Weakest Championship for years.

Recommended Posts

With no Villa now, Sunderland not joining us and Leeds blowing their chance, this second league has now gotta be even weaker than last season when even Blades managed to get promotion with two bob.

Those with failure payments will surely go down Stoke route to mediocrity leaving Brucey clear to transform us, ditching wasters and adding pace , power , midfield steel, youth and vigour. With Westy too, should be play offs as a minimum. Can't wait.

Yep sounds so easy. Reality it will be as tough as ever.

Agree, all to play for though and we've as good a chance as any.

Don't see anyone running away with it, Fulham have the financial power, but don't think they'll get going before they inevitably change to a more experienced manager around Christmas.

Cardiff will be competitive now Colin staying, Stoke have money but not convinced about Jones. Don't think derby will repeat last season without half of Chelsea youth set up and lampards future is not certain.

Likewise Bielsa not certain to be staying and like us Leeds shot their financial bolt. The rest of the contenders, pretty much of a muchness.

If I had to choose a dark horse to finish second, behind us I'd go for Bristol City. Built well over the last few years under a decent manager  and have money to spend

In truth it’s much of a muchness, same old sh*t different day.

It all depends on what team we create in the summer, as to whether it will be easier or not.  We had the 3rd best team in the league under Carlos, which could have been better with the right recruitment, and still fell short. So recruitment is key

Love the enthusiasm, and to be fair if you can't dream at the beginning of the season then when can you dream. We have every chance, just like the other 23 teams, no stand out favourites and no teams that look destined for relegation, could be a crazy season. I would make a prediction but too early, plus i want to dream a little longer we could win the league. GOOD START TO THE SEASON NEEDED FOR ONCE, JUST BLEEDING ONCE WEDNESDAY. Bring it on.

Agreed. As we're not considered to be one of the firm favourites to win promotion, there we be no expectation being put on the team to achieve something. That could well and truly help our cause in 2019/2020. :tango:
