Championship odds 2019/20

Recommended Posts

Leeds and Fulham joint favourites 5/2

WBA 3/1

Hudds, Cardiff, Stoke 7/2

Boro, Owls 9/2

Brentford, Swansea 6/1

Forest 7/1

Early days before any transfer activity but looks an open league, no real clear favourites.

Surprised how short Stoke are. I would probably make WBA favourites.

Is this just to get promoted or win the league? Surprised how short the odds are when there are numerous teams capable of beating each other.

Field of 24: prices 5/2, 5/2, 3/1, 7/2, 7/2, 7/2, 9/2, 9/2, 6/1, 6/1....

Um. Perhaps not.

If these are promotion odds, then an ~82% chance we don't get promoted: feels about right...

If we get things done early and not leave it to the last minute like previous years then we will do well.

If Boro get Jokanovic then I fancy them to be strong unfortunately.

Cardiff will be up there simply because of Colin.

Brentford are already a good young team and will strengthen.

The Stoke manager won't make it to Christmas.

Swansea will struggle Potter did a good job their despite the mid table finish.

Derby are in the s**t with their key players all going back to their parent clubs.

West Brom will be play offs at best.

Fulham will be near the top.

Huddersfield will roll back 5 years in time to being a mid to lower mid table club that takes more interest in what Forestieri is doing than watching their own team.

L**ds will inevitably fall apart at some stage.

I really don't think there is anything to fear next season.

Top 6

Cardiff

Fulham

Wednesday

Brentford

West Brom

Birmingham

In my opinion of course...

We've not finished 1st in any league since the 1958/59 season and have only finished 2nd in 3 seasons during that time. Not surprised we aren't fancied.

well, except the odds (and I'm not sure where the poster has got them from, but taking them to be real odds against achieving promotion) show us to be one of the more fancied sides in an open league. Again, taking at face value: no team with a better than two in seven chance of promotion assessed at this stage

I’m not quite sure why so many here think we will finish in the top 6 ? Based on what .

We sign some pace and somebody who actually can finish we have a chance but as it stands another top half finish .

Fulham will be strong , I think stoke will get it right and boro . Dunno about Cardiff and West Brom will plod along with a squad that makes one of carlos look youthful

Maybe people are thinking we’ll sign those players? Maybe?
