Boro to sue Derby...

Recommended Posts

Nice timing a few days before the play-off final.

Might be a bit pointless if Derby manage to get themselves promoted on Monday.

If they don't, then what?

Boro hope to prove that Derby breached the P and S rules and as a result they should get a points deduction, fine etc?

Or are Boro seeking some sort of financial recompense?

What an absolute farce.

Didn't the EFL clear Derby?

So...Boros case is that the EFL applied/interpreted their own rules incorrectly?

Perhaps Steve Gibson has finally lost the plot?

I'm no expert but as I understand it Derby haven't broken any rules (yet), it's a loophole there to be expolited and they have done so, we have reportedly done the same and other teams are following on.

The league are looking into it but as of yet its still legal.

Which IF that is the case (it is a loophole), then I can't see how Boro's case will have a leg to stand on.

That's unless there is some other chicanery at play here.

How embarrassing.

Middlesbrough and Gibson aren't the league. It's the league's rules, not Boro's rules. If Derby are flaunting the rules, the league should (and hopefully will) take appropriate action. What am embarrassment to sport that one petulant little club feels the need to supersede the sport's authorities and throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Boro are an absolute joke, embarassing. If it was illegal the EFL would stop it.

This could rebound quite badly on Boro, would not have thought they have much support as must be plenty of clubs thinking of doing this

Leave the rules to the EFL.only winner will be lawyers.
