West Brom have chosen not to sign Gayle from Newcastle.

Exactly the type of striker we need. Worth a shot at getting on loan surely?

Bruce, work your magic

He'd be great but it's just another Rhodes situation - spending well above our means.  Hector and Gayle together would be a great pair of signings if we could get Winnall, FF, Rhodes all moved on and make some money.

Come on Blades sign FF for 14m!

You do know the reason why WBA chose not to sign him permanently? They’d be first in the queue for a loan again anyway, I’m sure.

Decent player, but his wage will be astronomical. If WBA can't afford him with parachute payments  we've got no chance.

60k a week . 12 million fee. Yeah just add him to the squad. Sure he would be desperate to come as well. Total no brainer and when he signs lets put a bid in for Redondo as well as Newcastle havent snapped him up yet. Great being the best club financially in the championship.  Oh wait a minute ....

WBA secretary said that whilst they wanted him they would no longer be paying premiership wages until they were back there.

Apparently on 60 K a week last season (gulp)

Chosen because they're skint and can't afford loan fee, permanent fee and wages.

I doubt we can too, fee we're getting for Rhodes would help fund loan fee but would restrict our options to strengthen in other areas of squad.

If West Brom can't afford him then neither can we.
