pazowl55
I said this about 2 weeks ago that it would all come down to the length of contract. Let's hope we make him another offer. Edited May 12, 2019 by pazowl55

Animis
Are any other Champ clubs going to offer a 3-year deal to a 34 yr old, who's 35 in October? I doubt it. Give him a year with a structured option of a further year.
WalthamOwl
Deserves a 2 year deal. Be a disgrace if we lose him because we mess about and only offer him a 1 year deal.
robowl4life
Got a feeling Bruce has another keeper lined up just in case.
frastheowl
This is all assumptions and guesswork, but I'd imagine, we've offered Westwood a pretty lucrative offer salary wise. And in my opinion, he should absolutely only be offered a one year deal if he stays as a high earner. There's far too much risk of having him sat in the treatment room for long periods. If he wants a two year deal...fine...give it him...but he takes a substantial pay cut, to avert the risks of having a high earner constantly injured. Maybe give him an added bonus if he plays in 95% of our competitive games? Put the ball in his court...how confident is he that he'll stay fit?
Rogers
1 year and an automatic extension if he plays 30+ games
S36 OWL
I think we have to weigh up how much it would cost to sign another keeper of the same quality as Westwood . Personally i think giving Westwood a two year deal would be more cost effective .

BD2OWL
Give him 2 years. To to be fair Keepers get better as they get older. Not it like he’s a central midfielder whose legs are gonna go or a winger aka Jones & Boyd

Fantastic keeper but he isn't the most robust physically. 1yr + option would be sensible way forward for us.

Owls2k
That's not old for a goalie, however an option for a second year after X number of appearances is a decent compromise I think.
Jon Newsome
34 for a keeper is like 29 for an old field player, he's still performing to a very high standard at this level, he's gotta get 2 years surely. It will cost far more to replace a keeper of his quality.
