Problem is so is 99% of the league. Lets hope SB has a finger on the pulse. Maybe then a young raw loanee from premier league . Trouble is they never seem to work here Abonghalor , Barkley , even Slothroyd (not young or raw just bone idle). All were or became England players.

Always thought Barkley was far ahead of anything else we had at the time. The others just couldn't react to his ability and vision.

Actually, although it appears that defence and midfield are the areas that need bodies, the type of striker you are talking about, is absolutely key for us.

Must be someone out there we can uncover or take a chance on. Even that kid at Donny or the lad at Tranmere . Vardy grabbed his chance at Leicester bought from Fleetwood.

Strikers are the last thing we need

Ones that score would be handy though.

Seriously?!

out of Gregory, Fletcher, Rhodes, Joao, Forestieri, Winnall, and Nuhiu...I'd choose Gregory last.

.....and he was coming back from injury if my memory isn't playing tricks again. Fully fit he would have been light years away from what we had.

Who?  Hooper was quality but wasn’t up to it physically.

I believe we have all the strikers we need it's the ones providing the ammo that we are short on .

We’ve lost a lot of potential craft in Hooper, although we rarely saw him, plus the only striker with real pace, Matias. We do still have Joao and Forestieri I suppose, but probably need at least one more. We only need one of Nuhiu or Fletcher, and Rhodes and Winnall aren’t up to championship standard

Rhodes is 4th all-time leading scorer in the division.

If Billy Sharp can get back to his best aged 33, no reason why Rhodes can't at 29 - providing we get some legs in the team and actually put service into him.

The guy can finish. We've had shyte wingers in recent years. Reach is the best, but he's too slow. Upgrade and Rhodes may actually start scoring again.

He can finish, my feeling is, he doesn’t add enough to our offensive game, his all round game is poor. Can we carry a player like that Having said that, used in the same way as Norwich used him, then he can be a useful asset
