I love that the article descended into a stream of consciousness halfway through.

Julian Borner gives me a horner

Getting worked up sat in the corner

Not for the wife though,

I think I’d better warn her,

Else she’ll be making demands

For me to go and bone her.

It’s still raining after a solid 48 hours, I’m stuck inside, and I’m bored :Sid:

I reckon Asteener is well familiar with rainy days.

Imagine if she was your new neighbour! Pop round for a drop of semi....

I'd volunteer to do all the gardening for her.

Ya know, mow her lawn and trim her bush...

She’s hot, but I wouldn’t answer the door if Midweek Sport Special was on!

I'd give her ten....sorry I meant one.

I don't think you know how clever your reply was?

She was in a film called '10' where Dudley Moore was running longingly towards her on the beach.

Hang on, it might not have been Dudley, it may have been Chrissy..

The first German was Wilf Smith

Bit of confusion here, methinks.

Wilf Smith was born of an English Father, serving in the British Forces in W.Germany, so could possibly have taken German citizenship, but was brought up entirely in England, and never claimed German citizenship

As for Gerry Young, he was born and bred in South Shields, and was brought up in a little village called Primrose Hill, between Felling and Jarrow. He may have sounded strange to S.Yorks folk since he always spoke with a  broad Geordie accent, even when having a pint in the City centre pub he frequented.
