Didn't we come up in second place in 83-84, whilst Chapman was playing for Sunderland?

I remember watching Chapman from 84-85 onwards as a nipper.

He won the League with Leeds after he left us.

He means he was in the Leeds side that won the old First Division.

A title we were only 2 games away from winning.

Last minute equaliser in our last away game at Palace put paid to us.

Mark Bright scored it and he then went on to sign for us that Summer.

Unbelievable Jeff!

Chapman was a class old fashioned centre forward and brilliant in the air.

Anybody trying to compare him to Nuhiu needs their bumps feeling.

I was at Selhurst Park that day, when Wednesday scored two thirds of the crowd erupted.

Watching that..and people moan about Nuhiu. Chapman, although scored a few, was a cart horse.

Paul Walsh should have had a penalty, awful tackle.  Football was terrible

Some good olds songs though..sing your hearts out for the lads, The Wednesday

Chapman was a brilliant goal scorer for us,can't say Nuhui is anywhere near as good, was a great result,we were on the pitch after the 2nd goal, great days !!!!

What a thrill it would be to watch a wednesday side play with that kind of intensity and commitment

yep in essence the OP

whether I could cope with a 96 min last kick winner in a euro champ semi  ?  Doubt it, but willing to give it a go

I watched the Spurs game last night and Potichino made a brave decision at half time, he took of Wanyama and brought on the much lamented  Llorente and went more direct.

After being second best in the first half suddenly Spurs were on the front foot. Liorrente was causing problems and Moura was finding space that wasn't there in the first half.

The reason I mention this is to show that sometimes a total change of tactic can change a game and the reason why I would always like the option of Nuhiu coming off the bench. Don't think the big man should be starting for us but used correctly as a sub he can be a game changer.

Poch started off with the wrong tactics in both games but if it's meant to be.....

I was there, what a day!!!

Apart from seeing a couple of our fans slashed with staley knives by the bin dippers. Hated them ever since.

In the Liverpool slums,

They look in the dustbin for something to eat,

They find a dead rat and they think it's a treat,

In the Liverpool slums.

Why don't we have good songs like that anymore?
