That’s possible, but with Fletcher, Nuhiu and Rhodes as our lone striker options, we’d again be short of goals Add a proper centre forward, someone mobile enough to lead the line, and that set up could work. It’s a bit like how Bruce set up at Villa, with a winger and striker, either side of a mobile centre forward. Definitely though, Bannan needs to be part of a three

I see now why Carlos often used to shift him to the left later in games when we needed a goal.

 

But I'm still not sure he's great up front. But him and Fletcher should be great on paper.

 

The fact we still debate his best position 3 years after he arrived is a bit odd.

 

There are a lot of reasons why , injuries and he doesn’t help himself with some of his antics but we have never played a proper 433 since he has been here.

 

We moved to it often late in games in Carlos’s first season but we have never put a team together to consistently play 433.

 

So if his best position is left of a front three he may well leave before we find out.

When he’s on it, there aren’t many as good as Forestieri at pressing from the front. Many a time you will see him trying to dispossess an opponent in the top half of the pitch Where he isn’t so good, is tracking an opponent in his own half

He tried to sign Ojo on loan for Villa previously. A couple of options like Ojo & Izzy Brown could be good on loan.
