Three at the back

Recommended Posts

Bruce likes the system and has used it before to great success, would save us having to buy loads of new wingers as we currently don't have any.

Any chance he'll use something like this next season.

             Iorfa Lees Hector

Palmer                              Reach

            Hutchinson Bannan

          Diame/Powell/Forestieri

       Fletcher               Rhodes

There is something in this as both iorfa and Hector have the capacity to be 'overlapping centre backs'

The main problem with that team is the players you have down as wingbacks.

Palmer isn't one and Reach isn't either.

We've tried methods for 4 seasons to not buy any decent wingers or full backs and its miserable. Especially when you play with no tempo and pressing like we used to do.

We looked a different side with Lazaar and Aarons fit and playing. Definitely agree that we need more players with pace and aggression in the wide areas

As well as Palmer has done this season, i think playing wingback is a step too far

Agreed and Reach at wingback has been tried and rejected cos he can’t tackle when covering the defence.
