Hoopers been the highest paid forward weve had in two decades too...and the most injured too

You would expect propensity for future injuries to play a role too.

One is a talented athlete, the other is talented.

He's had almost 2 years rest from the mental fatigue and hustle and bustle of championship football. Yes he's been rehabbing and light training, so may stand him in good stead if he can get fully back to fitness  in the summer he may be still very valuable to have in the squad, hopefully he can get back to being close to the old Lee, who knows.

Its a fingers crossed from me.

For Lee, Luhukay has just whooshed by...as if it never happened  I bet most players are quite jealous of him.

Highly likely bud...

Well apart from reach & Joey, reach has been nowhere near as good in the latter part of the season under Bruce since jos whent.

Not sure if someone else sorted the Hector deal out or jos did, but someone deserves a pat on the back and if it was jos.

Well at least he got one thing right lol

The BIG problem with Hooper, apart from his injury record, is that he is obviously a ONE-FOOTED player  This showed particularly with Carlos insisting on playing him on the right, where , having made his way forward, he had to check and cut inside to get the ball onto his only foot - his left.

Why do we consistently play obviously one-footed players  on the wrong side. A good example of this is Palmer, who, despite having improved immensely, is moved to left back, where he is nowhere near as effective.

Um...Hooper is right-footed.

Hooper has often pinged passes with both feet.

I always felt he favoured his right foot but he has not been shy of using either.
