Birley Owl 1867 Posted May 5, 2019 Share Posted May 5, 2019 Think he returns to us next year. Our strikers currently consist of Fletcher, Joao, Winnall, Nuhiu, Hooper, Rhodes and Forestieri. Hooper won't be staying, can't see Winnall staying here as he's hardly featured since his return in January, and hopefully Forestieri will be used wide left if he stays. None need replace because none have barely contributed this season or the last 3. With the likes of Winnall, JVA, possible Joao maybe Rhodes that could bring in £5-10m depending how stupid the transfer market is this summer and another £5m saving on wages. All of a sudden we are £5-10m better off with incoming and saved £10m in wages. For this is where we improve in the summer offload most of our of contracts, sell the players that have just not been good enough and a few good free agents, a few promising loan signings and maybe one or two gems. But we dont know what kind of impact he has had at the club off the pitch and if he is happy to be used as a backup player and is relatively cheap they may go for him.
