So. We're under FFP and need to trim the wage bill....

The manager has said he wants "younger, fresher legs"...

....and the first player we're linked with is a 33 year old on the best part of £90k a week...

Certainly hope not. He's 36, haven't we learned our lesson with past it players.

There’s a difference between offering a chunky old crock like hooper a deal and a 33 year old with champions league  and England experience (and no injury issues ) a deal . He would be a great signing but obviously won’t happen .

Don’t think it’s beyond belief especially if we are looking at and can off load van aken

pudil has has been released so even if we sign hector it only leaves us thorniley and lees

can see us enquiring

Bruce always likes that experienced Cb like when he brought Terry to Villa

at 33 I’d of thought Cahill has got another 2 good years in him and his experience in that changing room would be invaluable especially with a lot of seniors going

all that said I can see him ending up at United

This exactly. Whether we could afford him or not, which I don't believe we could for the record. It's that sort of deal that got us into this mess. Let the pigs sign him. No jealousy on my part.
