Popular Post Lord Snooty
"I've an uneasy feeling Stubbs" "It's just a little rain ,Sir" "No, no, not the weather, Stubbs. Kieran Lee" "Sir?" "Well all this talk about him coming back. I mean, it puts me about a bit" "Put you about? I thought you'd have been delighted. You've done nothing but lament his absence for months,Sir. Every thread, you never miss the opportunity to talk about the loss of his phenomenal energy levels and ability to go box to box and ship in with vital goals and how his inclusion in a 3 man midfield would be a ticket to the Premier League." "True enough Stubbs. True enough" "Then why the unease?" "Two things Stubbs. Firstly, well you just know you're going to filled with apprehension. And really at this stage, with us sat outside the play offs and needing a miracle of near biblical proportions the last thing we should be feeling is apprehension isn't it? No, we should be going into this game relaxed. Not worrying that the boy might break down, which will be the thought on every Wednesday fans mind." "He's not forced to break down, Sir. He's been training for a while with no reaction, got through some U23 games with no reaction. For all you know he might go out there and be right as rain" "Yes, but I'd rather we saved any come back for QPR." "You think after all these months that one more week will lessen the chance of an injury? Really?" "Yes I do, and I'll tell you why. That Pearson, Stubbs. The mans a goon. A grade A, 24 carat bellend. He's the type to know someone is back from a long term injury and leave a bloody foot in on then. He's an absolute shitehawk of a man." "You maybe right ,Sir. You might be right. Speaking of terrible bellendery ,Sir. Did you manage to get all the nominations in for the Championship Bellend of the Year awards while I was away? We'll need to be making the final cut soon for the Owlstalk end of season award" "Oh buggery. I forgot all about it! I'll go and dig it out of the non-Wednesday dungeon it got relegated to and locked up. You crack on with the team news and what not" "Very good,Sir" --------------------------------------------------------------- Preston - V - Wednesday Deepdale Kick Off : 15:00 PNE 7/5 Draw 12/5 OWLS 19/10 ----------------------------------------------------- TEAM NEWS Preston midfielder Ben 'shitehawk' Pearson is back in contention for his side's home game against Sheffield Wednesday following suspension. Pearson served a three-game ban after his straight red card in the recent home defeat to Leeds. But another midfielder, Ryan Ledson, starts a four-match suspension following his second red card of the season in Monday's defeat at Wigan. By God these are a set of niggling gets aren't they. Skipper Tom Clarke, Tom Barkhuizen, Alan Browne, Andrew Hughes, Brandon Barker, Josh Harrop and Brad Potts all remain sidelined. Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood could return to contention after a knee injury. Cameron Dawson will resume in goal if Westwood, who returned to training this week after missing the last two matches, fails to prove his fitness. Midfielder Sam Hutchinson remains doubtful due to the hamstring problem which forced him to miss Monday's home win against Bristol City. Adam Reach has also been ruled out for the season by Owls boss Steve Bruce. The Owls are four points adrift of the final play-off spot with two games remaining. ------------------------------------------------------------ Match facts Preston have lost six of their past nine league matches against Sheffield Wednesday (W2 D1 L6). Sheffield Wednesday have won just one of their past 20 away league games against Preston (W1 D9 L10), a 2-0 win in December 2011. Preston have lost five of their past six Championship games (W1 D0 L5) - one more than they'd lost in their past 28 league matches. Steve Bruce lost his first three league visits to Preston North End, but won there on his most recent visit in November 2017 with Aston Villa (2-0). Preston have lost none of their past 35 Championship matches when they've gone ahead (W25 D10 L0), since a 2-3 defeat to Middlesbrough on New Year's Day in 2018. Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan has registered 10 league assists this season - as many as in his previous two campaigns combined. --------------------------------------- "Here it is. Give it a bump and get those nominations in chaps" COME ON WEDNESDAY 22

Lazaar being out means a return for Palmer. Reach means Matias surely comes in for a right hand birth. Pelupessy, whislt still not many peoples cup of tea has looked as good in the last two games as his whole time here and with Hutchinson out. He must be in contention again? Aarons is out so it's Boyd on the left flank isn't it. Personally not what I'd do. I'd get Fernando on there in that role that so terrified and caused so much terror to Norwich. Up top. Nice goal from Joao last week. Enough to retain a place above Fletcher? Not for my money. 4

Morepork
Thank you once again your Snootiness. Sterling job all season, consistency of the kind Bruce will be looking for from players next season. We have but the faintest glimmer of hope left..... However, from the gaffers perspective, he will be looking for clues about players characters. He'll want to see the boys fight to the very end, to see who is willing to chase lost causes and leave everything out there. There have been many positives to our run in despite a couple of unfortunate results. It's important we finish on a high and carry that belief and confidence into next season, still 6 points to be had. And......the sight of Keiran Lee in a Wednesday shirt again is something I doubted I'd see again, what a lift that should give us. Gresh
It would be nice to keep the improbable dream going for a few more days. I'm backing us to keep our end of the deal with a hard fought 0 v 1 away win with Fletcher scoring for us.

There will be all sorts of armchair pundits to judge you on whatever possible part you may play before the season is complete. I know this - if you're genuinely fit (and I respect the medics to.make this call) - SB will offer as contact. Either way, you have my glowing administration for gracing our club. UTO. Does Kieran Lee read the OMDT thread? If so..Hello Kieran! 1. Stay away from Ben Pearson. He's a top level bell cheddar. Just let Big Hector wind him up and get him sent off. 2. . Popular Post nevthelodgemoorowl
We have been hanging by the slenderest of threads for a good few weeks. I fear that the day of reckoning has finally arrived and the prize will slip from our grasp. Despite all this we have seen performances of courage, drive and purpose. Many things of both nature and design (Referees) have gone against us. But none of this has killed our spirit and the set backs have not dented us, we are in fact stronger. Summer is almost upon us and we shall be enthused by new ideas and hungry youthfulness. When we re-emerge it will be with the fastest of legs, strong backs and broad shoulders. Bruce will be ready, our Gladiators will be ready, our staff will be ready, we the fans will be ready. More than any time in history Wednesday all together as one WE SHALL ALL BE TOGETHER ! COME ON WEDNESDAY ALL TOGETHER AS ONE, UTO & DTB WAWAW.

Stoop
Must admit I’m starting to like the look of this 4-3-3 formation. Suits FF and Matias perfectly
Rogers
They have some good players, I thought Ben Davies (centre back) was half decent last time I watched him. Who will get the nod up front? FF, Fletch, Hoops, and Joao have all done ok in recent games.
Watto
Only one win there in the league from the last 20 , that's a terrible record, let's hope today we can get 3 points and finish the season on a high. Great news to hear Kieron Lee is in the squad, we have missed his drive and energy , let's hope he can recapture his form from a few years back and earn himself at least a years contract. striker
Difficult to get excited about this one TBH. Preston are a horrible side, some good players, but a dirty, niggly team and my god don't they dive around a lot to con free kicks. Wonder if they still do that at home? May be a draw 1-1 considering were still being blighted by injuries.
