Reach - Isn't right and he's out of the next two. He'll not play again this season. His knee isn't right. Hutchinson - He's got a hamstring injury, so he won't be involved tomorrow and QPR is debatable. I don't think he will. I can't see it , we only have a week to go. Rolando Aarons – Trained yesterday for the first time. Tomorrow is too soon for him. Possibly for QPR Kieran Lee- There’s a good likelihood of that. He might, might be involved tomorrow. Be good to see him around that’s for sure. He’s been training two or three weeks. He’s had two chunk of football with the U23’s. For him personally to be involved must be fantastic. I’ve seen him on the training ground and he’s a very good player. Kieran will be delighted. And so will the supporters. He’s pain free. I’m delighted for him. Preston- They’ve done a great Job Alex and his team. They’ve been there about for months but just fell short. They ask questions. Good at set pieces, we’ll need to be on it. They're a good team. They put it in your box. I have a lot of respect for what they've achieved. They're a very, very good Championship side. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OTHER NEWS IF We lost in the last minute against Villa. That's an "If". Another ,"IF" the referee at Norwich does his job right we probably go into this game a point behind! But it's been a remarkable turn around by our players who have proved to the decent players. We've had a tough 18 months and a decent 3 months. But we go on and have to build on it. Still a Chance ? 7 results we need ! We need a draw and 6 defeats from our opponents! Heheh, but you never know! We just go out and try and get our result. Keep up the good work. Keep up that level of performance. This squad The squad has done that well, the nucleus of players we have is a decent one. But it’s fair to say we are ageing. We need a bit of balance. You can see why we’ve got so close a few years ago it's a good squad with good players but most of the squad are still here it does need freshening up. And players respond to that. There's nothing like a new face at the club. Recruitment - The summer is an opportunity to bring in some fresh legs, some fresh energy. Let’s hope we can get some players through the door. You cannot change it overnight. It's more of a drip. We'll have to be clever and also use the markets well. And I’m the type of person now who, if I can’t get who I want, I will wait. I won’t sign people for the sake of it that is for sure! Budget- Me and the Chairman have put our meeting back because we still have a chance. Put it back a week. Might put it back more because it's not over. Can we do the impossible? It's 200/1 but until it's over..... We'll talk later. Do you know something, honestly, I never spoke about budgets to the Chairman. I didn’t. But I think it’s fair to say, it's well documented we’re in FFP. But that didn’t put me off. Like a lot of clubs we have to adhere to the rules. I’m under no illusion there won’t be hundreds of millions to spend. We'll have to be clever in our work. We’ll have to use the loan market well. For example Michael Hector has done really well. We have to be clever with our approach. Work hard to get what we want. Onomah has been unlucky but he's very good player. The two Newcastle lads the same. Hector - He's not a free agent. I wish he was! I’d love to bring Michael Hector back. Of course I would. But he’s a Chelsea player. But I’d love to bring him back. But he's got a year left. We'll talk to them, see what they want but I'd love to bring him back here. Contract renewals – I haven’t opened negotiations with any of our out of contract players yet. We’re focusing on the football. Can we do the impossible. That's all we've been focussing on. Of course I myuself have There’s decisions to be made. But that’s after. Westwood- Yeah, it's all on hold with everyone. Hey, if we get a result tomorrow, it's a long shot, but we won't give up on it. Lets get that game played. It’s on hold till we know where we are. Lets focus our attentions on the game on Saturday. Then we have week, and weeks and weeks to discuss things if we need to . Expectation Levels- You have expectation when you walk through the door here! I’m delighted with what we’ve done but there’s lots of work to be done. U18’s – I’m delighted. Terrific achievement. The big step now is to take it up. Now and the next couple of years. Can they be knocking on my door. That’s what we want. There’s nothing like a young lad coming through. There’s always room for a young player with the ability. It’s a big ask. I’m more concerned with what the medical assessment is on his injuries as they should determine whether or not it’s viable to bring him in or not, so will leave that down to Bruce. I don’t get why you don’t like him.. can understand people saying he’s had too many injuries so don’t sign, but don’t get it when they say there are better players than him available to us at left back. I’ve felt very calm this week even though it looks a racing certainty the giants of the game across the city are making a return to their rightful place in the game and we are staring down the barrel of another season in the championship I don’t know why but I’ve got a feeling we could still go into the QPR game with a chance.
