More  by luck than good management.

So we were lucky to finish 4th with 81 points when the average for finishing 4th at this level is 74 points?

He messed up the 2nd play-off campaign badly and should take responsibility for that let down but getting us there in the first place wasn't down to luck.

Not really, second time round we got there with room to spare. Carlos should have gone long before he did but he wasnt a clown like some people on here like to call him. He was 1 game away from taking us up and being a wednesday legend, and remember it was the players that never turned up at wembley and the players that couldnt score from 12 yards out againt huddersfield!

Agree with most of that but it was his tactical approach that meant the Huddersfield game went down to the lottery of a penalty shoot out.

Partly yes, i was happy with the draw in the first game away from home it was a tight game, and yes at home was should have been more aggresive,  but having said that if forestieri had not missed that glaring chance in the second half which he should have scored we would have won and in my opinion gone on to win the final. Fine margins and all that. He wasnt a clown, was a far better manager than his replacement.

Nah, course not. We just fluked our way to the two best seasons we've had in 20 years, consecutively.

of course he had a plan it was tiptap was the answer to everything, and the 'superhero' left us with a trophy cabinet as full as the bank account.

12 months without a job says it all really don't it.

Says a lot about Carlos that he went back to Portugal to look after his father, who was seriously ill. He turned job offers to stay with his family.

And not the appalling officiating that let Huddersfield still finish with 11 men in each game and let the fouls go unpunished? Forestieri and Fletcher early in the 1st leg? The body slam by Hefele on Rhodes on the 2nd?

Jesus wept , talk about straw clutching . Carlos is a poor manager . We won games in spite of him not because of . When it came to the crunch we never turned up. He left us in really poor shape, signed some awful players and relegated Swansea when they looked nailed on to stay up

what was he doing for the 2 years before he came to us? the mans a charmer he is a very clever man and ive nothing against him but he set us back 4 years with his appalling transfer dealings I know they were others involved too in the bringing in of players but he had final say jan 2016 onwards regards transfers ,luckily we have steve bruce whats sweeping all the mess up and getting us right on the pitch.
