Popular Post dunsbyowl
On this sunny Easter weekend - spare a thought for this tragic youth from Walkley, whose his last act #OnThisDay in 1907, was to travel to the Crystal Palace to see his beloved Wednesday lift the FA Cup. #Todiebyyourside #SWFC #thepleasuretheprivilegeismine 28

Buckwheat
Nearly as awful as "My Old Dog Shep ". Didn't a host of angels come down and carry him off to Heaven.
Harrysgame
Do we know who this lad was. Should have some roll of honour at the ground or some other type of way of recording things like this at the ground. Often wondered why we don't have a memorial to ex players who died in the wars and commemorate them.

heppers
I'd rather die while hanging out the back of Rachel Riley.
ZicoSterland2
Mother I can feel the soil falling over my head. Better go and watch the Wednesday win the cup. Not the worst way to go im sure. Next thing this will be part of bladesman culture all dates and names changed.
Tarquin
I have promised myself that I will live to 107. When I will be shot dead in bed by a jealous husband . Just about 3/4 of the way there now 1

I would doubt it but you never know. My Grandad was 18 when that final took place. In those days I would imagine there weren’t many say under 16 that travelled.

sexpistol
As a child my Grandad showed me photos of that day. There was one outside Wembley. Next time I visit my parents I’m going to ask them to get the old photos out and I will see if they have them (slim chance) If they do have them I’ll share them on here.
