What a heavenly way to die?

Recommended Posts

Do we know who this lad was. Should have some roll of honour at the ground or some other type of way of recording things like this at the ground. Often wondered why we don't have a memorial to ex players who died in the wars and commemorate them.

Wonderful - I wonder if there is anyone alive who saw the 1935 final?

Interesting point. I would doubt it but you never know. My Grandad was 18 when that final took place. In those days I would imagine there weren’t many say under 16 that travelled.

As a child my Grandad showed me photos of that day. There was one outside Wembley. Next time I visit my parents I’m going to ask them to get the old photos out and I will see if they have them (slim chance) If they do have them I’ll share them on here.
