Holmowl
Problem is, Bruce sees him as a striker. He will find out after six or seven games that he isn’t, but we haven’t got six or seven games to waste while he finds out.
agentwalker
For a long time now he seems to always play with his back to goal and a defender in his back. Needs to play from deep and face the goal more. Which probably means he needs to play in as front 3 as a 2 doesn't suit him.

And with Aarons pulling out just before kick-off, it would have been a great opportunity to get FF onto the left and play Nuhiu or Winnall with Hooper up top instead. He needs to battle Aarons for the wide spot so we can play two proper better strikers. Today for example, FF instead of Boyd would have allowed a Nuhiu + Hooper front two. However, Bruce says he’s a striker. He’s never been a good striker, and this season he has been a poor striker.
marcx666
Hes not, nor never has been a striker. Sooner whoever is managing us, be it carlos, jos or bruce, realises this, the better. Down the left, or, a proper number 10, then yes, in a 442 alongside the striker, no, especially when the other striker is Hooper. Off a target man is one thing, off a similar player, then it isn't going to work.
alanharper
Didn't notice him limping or anything, was running just before he got subbed.

Hasn’t done it for 12 months. Let’s sell him and move on.

Which is the reason why Bruce is very reluctant to play Marco out their.

Lord Snooty
A massive asset to the team when he's on it and getting into positions where he can run directly at players. I'm not convinced centre forward is that position. Very much a modern attacker. Rather than traditional striker. Bruce has the task of trying to get him ticking. How that happens. Or even if that happens is another thing.
prowl
He was on fire at the end of last season. It's in there, Bruce just needs to get the best out of him.

Beholder
He's been garbage since he has returned from injury. Even under jos he was always good for holding the ball up with a few tricks and then maybe get a free kick.. He shouldn't be starting
