Popular Post Lord Snooty
“It’s been a long, tough journey and it’s nice that all the hard work that I put in has paid off and got me the start against Blackburn. You take playing for granted as a footballer and when you’re not playing, whether that’s through injury or through not being selected, it’s tough for any footballer. So for me, to get back out on the pitch and playing in front of those Wednesday fans was really special. It’s something I will never take for granted again. It’s a great time to be back with the team firing on all cylinders. We’re on such a good run of form and we’ve got so much confidence in the squad. The more minutes I get, the sharper I will get, and I am confident the goals will flow as soon as I am back up to my best.” 12
Frank_Lucas
I really liked his partnership alongside Rhodes I thought at the time these 2 are going to run wild but sadly no service!!! This has been an underlying problem for some time?

We now play completely differently with some strength, pace and width and if these two got some confidence they could be extremely effective under Bruce. sethman75
Like the kid a lot. He was shredding the league to bits only a couple of years ago. We know he can do it
Yellowbelly
A Winnall/Rhodes partnership has that 90’s football feel to it and for that reason alone I’d love to see them upfront together next season.

SallyCinnamon
I rate Winnall. Not the most technically gifted, but works hard and does the simple stuff. Habit of being in the right place at the right time and that’s hard to teach. Hope we give him a fair shot at it.
Kopparberg
Would be great if he could bag a couple of goals before the end of the season.
Pale Rider
I would love him to succeed that said even allowing for the long lay off, his performance against Blackburn was very poor. Needs to step it up.
Frank_Lucas
For the money Winnall was a steal he and Rhodes both have the right attitude and are proven goal scorers in this league. If we don't pull off a miracle this season then roll on next season under Bruce with some pace on the wings a tank in midfield I'd like to see someone of Kieran Lee's ability just a bit stronger on the ball. If it was possible get Hector in either on a season long loan or if funds available look to buy but I imagine he will have a hefty price tag Things are looking up again WAWAW UTO
ZicoSterland2
Like Winnal a trier. May not be the best technically but knows where the back of the net is. Get him match fit will be an asset on the run in. We will need every option we have over next 8 games.
james o connor
It’s going to take time for his to get up to speed obviously . Havimg said that the last two games , his positing and movement is good , once he gets fitter, that will improve . Considering the excitement for retaining a 31 year old who’s not played in 16 months on this forum , you’d be mad to even consider getting rid of winnall . This has been an underlying problem for some time? Agree with the lack of service bud and the one thing that used to always annoy me was how we insisted on playing Nando on the left & Wallace on the right, which yes allowed them to cut inside and create or shoot themselves. It meant we struggled to get the meaningful quick, quality balls into the box that either winnall or Rhodes needed to thrive and score goals. I think I remember both playing against Birmingham together and we moved the ball quickly and got crosses into the box. I think we won 2 or 3 nil with Rhodes & winnall grabbing the goals. It looked really promising.... Week after we reverted to "the scared crab" approach and looked hopeless.
