Adam Reach has made the shortlist for the Mitre Goal of the Year.

The Wednesday midfielder unleashed an unstoppable hit into the top corner during the Owls’ 2-2 draw with West Brom back in October.

After the respective Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month winners for 2018 were narrowed down to ten, the shortlist will now go to a public vote to decide the final five.

The overall winner will then be voted for and revealed on the night of the EFL Awards ceremony on Sunday 7 April at Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

It’s the second successive year Reach has made the shortlist with his stunning strike away at Aston Villa after just 18 seconds making the cut for the calendar year 2017.

I thought his L**ds goal was better TBH

It was. But they're taking this opportunity to remind us about the 2 points we chucked away that night against West Brom. It's an anti-Wednesday agenda!

The Leeds goal really was hit and hope. The WBA goal was a lot better in my eyes.

Any shot from a distance of 30 or so yards has a degree of hit and hope.

What do you think he was aiming for?

I get your drift, but I doubt any human has the accuracy to hit that size target from that range and angle. The West Brom goal was a bit more down to his own skill.
