I’m absolutely convinced we’ll win at Norwich to help United and Leeds out.

We’ll probably be about 5/1 as well.  Put the lot on it, I guarantee it.

No one thinks we’ll beat Villa? Bruce will want that win more than any other.

I think there should be a minutes silence/applause where only Bruce is allowed to move and he gets to chuck a trolley full of cabbages at the Villa fans.

I would willingly sacrifice the premiership if only we could eliminate the Porkers in the play offs. What fun !

Odd. I loathe United, but I'd happily accept them winning the league if it meant us getting promoted in the playoffs.

In fact they'd hate that, it'd almost ruin their promotion if we went up as well, instead of their success it'd be forever remembered as the year that both Sheffield clubs got promoted.

Not good, but worth pointing out that I am quite pessimistic.  Although do I think we'll finish around this position, as per earlier in the season too many draws will kill us.

Just the fact this is even being discussed after having Jos running things for the first 4 months of the season is 1. a miracle in itself, regardless of whether we make it, and 2. exciting for the forthcoming season should we fall short this time.

And went on to win the playoffs despite not scoring a goal for themselves, only managing one own goal in their favour in 5.5 hours of football...

I have just worked through this and there are some fascinating games to be played between now and end of season. I got united and Norwich being promoted automatically. think Leeds have some tricky games against sides they would not like to play. derby are struggling at moment we could have won against them and watched their game last night just to look at how stoke played as we have them soon. I was encouraged by what I saw from that game and think derby will miss out. WBA also have a run in which could see them drop lots of points and if not careful but caught up in things. Think Middlesboro will miss out if no upturn in fortunes. if we get 70 points which is a big ask I think we will make top 6. we are one of most difficult teams to predict, I can see us beating Villa, Norwich and Forest but struggling against Blackburn.

By the way I think Rotherham will survive. I think Norwich will be champs. Played it several times and think it will go down to final day and we could be anywhere between 5th and 8th.

When i've done it we end up 9 points away with 3 games left.

Hope that doesn't happen but the other playoff teams have some really favorable games against lower teams.  Probably realistic.

They'll be teams fighting for their lives. Probably our two worst results under Bruce have been against Reading and Millwall - both in relegation bother.

Rather miss out by 5

My calculations a couple of weeks ago brought us to 71 points.. I had that sinking feeling.

but it’s better than the feeling I had in November lol
