He was saying something last week about if they're not paid by a certain date they can break the contract. Feel like it was about the 14th/15th though. So you'd assume that they will honour the contract until that point.

That's when they can officially cancel there owns contracts.

If they don't turn up tomorrow they will probably get a two week fine. Of which they are not getting anyway. So who would care.

We seriously could be playing there youth team tomorrow.

Got a feeling, most of the Bolton players contracts will include "appearance money" 

 

So it's of no benefit to them, by missing a game and potentially losing thousands. You'd hope to be paid eventually, but when your fit and well, it would daft not to continue growing your pot of gold during a short career

I'm thinking more in terms of if they want to take action against Bolton to try and recover costs down the line. Easier to do that if you haven't also breached the contract by not playing.

Type of game where we rock up and get spanked by a team and club at rock bottom.

Players wages are a football creditor. Hence in the event of a takeover or indeed going bust they take priority over everything else to be paid. HMRC lost a test case on this and I know it was cited that HMRC would get priority status back but not sure on the start date.

 

So not be happy players but I think they will have players perhaps looking to catch the eyes of other clubs for next season.
