Yoshihiro Sunbeam
What are your memories of him? I thought he was superb and was gutted when we sold him to Chelsea. Where would he rank among centre backs that played for us in the mid to late 90's?

whatdial
Another one of Big Ron’s great buys. He bought us loads of class players for decent money.

JOCOWl
Up there with the best centre halves. Des Walker number 1, pearson and thome joint 2nd.

Good player was Emerson but wouldn't place him that highly in your Wednesday centre halves. He was here less than two years Edited March 6, 2019 by nilsson
Dot
my favourite player of that period. Immense got a great reception when he came back as a Chelsea player and rightly so. didn't we turn down a 5 million pound bid then accept a 3 million bid a few months later bizarre times. and according to the kop band he looks like Paul warhurst tards

Of the centre-halves I seen, Des Walker was the best, Mick Lyons a close second and then I honestly believe Peter Shirtliff was third best. Hard then to decide an order between Pearson, Viv Anderson and Emerson Thome. Edited March 6, 2019 by shandypants
Suzuki_San
One of the very, very few players we've actually sold for a decent amount of money IIRC.

Blue and white
Remember hearing an interview with BFR who told a story of how he was approached by agent asking if he would have a look at a player, BFR said ok but tell him not to turn his engine off, the rest is history. Rev Owl
Wouldn't know where to place him in a list of best defenders (certainly not at the top), but he was a quality we could only dream of at the moment.
