FF last few times I've seen him looks like Rooney did at Everton. He's so desperate for the ball that he's coming way too deep to pick it up himself. The reason being that when Bannan is effectively marked as he was tonight, and Reach out wide, we don't really have a forward pass or runner in midfield. This is why we miss Kieran Lee so much. I'd be interested to see if Bruce maybe drops Joao a bit deeper when he's fit and tries to take advantage of his pace through the middle. On paper you'd think Matias could fill this role but Bruce clearly doesn't fancy him. Hector was superb tonight and signing him could be our first priority in the summer.

Most of FF’s best games in a Wednesday shirt have been when he’s played on the left.

Even though he was wide left, that first year under Carlos he was a focal point for us and nearly every attack went through him. He doesn’t seem to influence games like that anymore.

So true.

Bruce will see this soon.

said this for 3 years now and probably longer we seriously need a 3rd party fitness expert to look into the injuries /recovery /warm ups   bruce saying tonight again somethings wrong  bad luck is one thing but this is silly now

This exactly, they aren’t fit enough to deal with the niggles that crop up so regularly in football as intense as the Championship. I got the feeling last night that Yoonited we’re fitter in terms of their stamina, speed and physical strength and if one of them got a knock they’d be up and playing again straight away, whereas with the Wednesday biscuits, your heart was in your mouth thinking the injuries were life threatening eg Fletcher. New shirt sponsor next year...Huntley and Palmer or Ryvita!:duntmatter:

true   in truth we do have brittle players  fletcher appears shot at least twice a match  hutch has always done this every single match  but he nearly always gets up

worried about losing Iorfa and ff hopefully caught in time before a tear

He was asked to run around a lot, which he did very slowly.

Fixed it for you.
