I reckon Westwood gains us around 10 points a season. How the feck Jos considered him our 3rd choice is beyond me. Crackers.

Never stopped barking out instructions to his defence all through the game tonight.

I swear he was going hoarse and in danger of losing his voice altogether in the first half tonight.

Palmer who had a great game overall got a right earful for being slow to get back into position after going upfield at one point in the first half.

Good as our young keepers are, neither has the knowledge of the game or on field presence to give this sort of assurance to the team.

He also pulled off a couple of outstanding saves late on too. The recent clean sheets say it all really.

How any manager could not see him as our No 1 is absolutely baffling

Its a priority he is given a new contract. To replace him with someone of simular experience and quality would cost us a fortune.

He was  supposed to be a decent manager but he got it wrong big time with Westwood .

2-3 years Mr C and the option of a coaching role on retirement.

If we are serious about pushing for promotion then you need a quality keeper and non come better at this level.

Westy could easily have another 5 class years left in him, it's a no brainer to give him a new contract and i hope we get it done before the season ends.

Palmer's game has completely transformed since having Westwood back in net.

Did I (bad) dream it but wasn’t the fallout with Jos because Westy wanted to spend Christmas with his family?

”Christmas is cancelled”

50 - 60 clean sheets in 150 odd appearances is a pretty good record.

The entire defence is transformed

Being a goalie is not just about stopping shots, what Westwood works hard at is making sure the defence is organised so they don't get even a sniff of a chance.

The damning stat of the earlier part of the season was not just the quantum of goals scored against but that Dawson lead the shots saved count as well.

Dawson will make a good keeper once that experience to bully your defenders has been obtained

Remember all the old threads about how he must have had  a row or caused bother or a contracted clause but all along it was just Jos who wouldn't play him. He's fantastic gets us alot of our points. Well done Westwood.

He could be heard on the north stand towards the away end...but some still can’t see what he brings other than his keeping ability.
