Lord Snooty
First win over the Swans in the last 8 attempt. A game of two halves. But who caught your eye with a good permanent and how did the lads do in general? Time to put your scores on the doors! WEDNESDAY 3 - 1 Swansea Reach (11, 32), Fletcher (42) McBurnie (69)
Guest Kagoshimaowl
Westwood 8 three superb saves Palmer 6 great until he went on the wing Lees 7 Hector 8 back to usual Lazaar 9 outstanding debut Hutchinson 7 Bannan 6 Aarons 6 nice flicks but doesn’t look fit Reach 7 two good finishes but I wonder how high I would have scored him on his general play Joao 6 Fletcher 7 unbelievable goal Iorfa 8 he will be first choice rb for years Matias 5 he’s crap Pelupessy 6 Excellent first half but looked a bit tired from all the pressing second half. Excellent result! Edited February 23, 2019 by Kagoshimaowl

Plonk
Lazaar. Tackled. Headed. Passed. Ran with the ball. Crossed. Everything a full back should be able to do.
Sham67
Lazaar, just in front of Hutch.
gurujuan
We buzzed around today, especially Lazaar, who probably just shades it from Palmer Not neccessaerily due o his performance, but we lost a bit of momentum when Joao went off Nobody off the pace reallytoday
cowl
Lazaar. What we've been crying out for for years. Has pace, aggression (but the right type for a defender), looks comfortable with the ball, willing to get forward, and looks very sound defensively. If he carries on like this then I really hope we can sign him permanently. He'll cost a fee though, no doubt, which may pose a problem for us. asteener1867
Westwood 7...did the usual when needed palmer 7...dead steady, faded a bit when Iorfa came on Lees 6 steady, but another rickett that could have been expensive Hector 8...excellent Lazaar...9...almost flawless Hutch 8..caused them some problems pressing Bannan 7 usual Reach 8..back on the goal trail Aaorons, 7 tired a bit but had done the cdamage Joao 5...simply looked uninterested....again Fletcher 8...put a right shift in ...great goal matias.. 5.Let himself down with his only chance Pelupessy 5..not on long Iorfa...7..wasn't on that long either, but looked promising
S72 Owl
Westwood 7- Two very good saves. Quiet afternoon other than that. Palmer 7- Proving he can be a good enough right back in the championship Lazaar 8- Excellebt debut. Didn’t give there winger a second on the ball and has the pace we’ve been missing. Less 7- Solid Hector 7- Solid Reach 8- Two good finishes, caused problems and worked hard. Marked him down a point for bottling a challenge Hutchinson 9- Fantastic, all over the pitch breaking play up, good passing and the hardest worker on the pitch. Bannan 7- Much better than recent weeks, played a bit further forward. Still more to come from him. Aarons 7- steady game, nothing spectacular, but nice to have the option of pace and skill on the wing. Joao - 5 Not involved enough and poor work rate Fletcher 8- Led the well, worked hard, fantastic goal.
S26 Owl
Westwood 8 - quality saves and great leadership from the back Palmer 7 - solid and looks a different player than under Jos. So comfy on the ball now Lees 7 - solid Hector 8 - bounced back from a shocker at rotherham Lazaar 9 absolutely quality. The difference between him and most of the players on the field was evident, his first touch/movement and desire was obvious Hutchinson 7 - worked extremely hard and was a real thorn in that first half Bannan 7 - same as hutch, love the passion to ball matias after their goal Aarons 6 - looked bright every now and then and made our left side look alot more dangerous. However fizzled out slightly Reach 7 - still dont think hes as good as people say and other than the goals he didnt do much. But id love to write this after every game Joao 6 - probably our worst player, didnt do much at all and contribute a great deal Fletcher 7 unbelievable goal, worked hard but had 2 or 3 good headers he shouldve done better with Iorfa 7 - has legs for days and looks very difficult to get past. Doesnt look that comfortable on the ball to be a definite RB Matias 5 - at fault for their goal, leaves us very open to the side when he plays. Got told exactly where to go by Bannan when he cocked up for their goal Pelupessy 6 - just normal Great 1st half, proffesional 2nd half. Quality goals and missed a number of chances to go further ahead. The difference knowing that our left hand side actually had players who we can use for attack completely changed our style of play. Exact same team for Brentford except Joao for FF
Guest
Great debut from Lazaar, solid at the back, assured and confident in possession. Even managed to do an admirable job after Matias came on and offered him no help whatsoever.
Highbury Owl
Hutch shades it from Lazaar for a solid performance for the whole 90 minutes. Brilliant !
33
Lazaar superb Palmer excellent but not as effective RM Fletch, Hutch and Hector very good too. Lee's probably had his best game I've seen this season and bar one sloppy error needs to keep that level up. Nice team performance Well done all
meggoisgod
Lazaar by a country mile for me. Really excited by that debut, strong, tackles, plays the pass, lovely left foot, brilliant performance.
Groundhopping Owl
Westwood 8 - great saves in the second half kept things from getting uncomfortable Palmer 7 - was worried about how he’d cope with James’ pace but did fine. Didn’t look suited to his wing role second half though. Lees 7 - solid again, good use of the ball first half, less so second. Hector 8 - superb, had McBurnie in his pocket and used the ball excellently. Lazaar 8 - blimey he’s good isn’t he? Looked pacy, aggressive and put some very teasing deliveries into the box. Excellent stuff. Reach 8 - two very well taken goals, he’s a confidence player so they did him the world of good. Bannan 7 - the energetic, creative hub that we love to watch, was able to play higher up the pitch thanks to Hutchinson. Hutchinson 9 - pips Lazaar to MotM, it was a destroyer of worlds performance. Won the ball back more times than I can count, snapped at Swansea’s midfield and never let them settle, used the ball positively and drove us up the pitch. Aarons 7 - used his pace well, especially for the second goal. Fletcher 7 - deserved his spectacular goal for the amount of donkey work he does and for the number of times he’s had to carry our entire attack on his back this season. Joao 4 - contributed little and loses extra points for his tantrum at being subbed off - you’re 25 for God’s sake lad, grow up. Iorfa 7 - he reminds me of Reda and I mean that as a compliment, I love watching players who can go on a real rampage. Matias 3 - oh dear. Blew a great goal scoring chance with his first touch, got booked for a terrible challenge with his second then was at fault for a goal shortly afterwards. Pelupessy n/a
nevthelodgemoorowl
Westwood 8 Palmer 8 Lees 7 Hector 8 Lazaar 9 MOM Hutchinson 9 Just a fag paper between them. Bannan 7 Aarons 7 Reach 8 Joao 7 Fletcher 8 Iorfa 8 likes to get tight but a good winger could use Iorfas own speed against him. Matias 5 exposed as a wing back Pelupessy 7 A bit more bite today. Must say, you get three debutants and you hope one will shine. I thought all three were excellent today.
