Forestieri Red Card

I struggle to see what he did to merit a 2nd yellow card.

I'm curious to know what he did for the first one based on this.

Couple it with what i've seen of some of the yellows Rotherham received it's hard not to feel hard done to.

The first one was a yellow card but the second was a joke.

Another inconsistent ref craving attention.

Hope his car breaks down on the way home and he burns his dinner

It is fairly simple.

He gets additional attention because of his antics.

He makes every challenge look like he’s been shot.

Rolls around looking for fouls.

Like Peter and the wolf.

Referees get sick of him trying it on.

Then we wonder why he doesn’t get justice when someone really clatters him.

Can please you explain how the line in bold relates to any of your preceding words? Are you saying the referees are incompetent and/or unfairly biased for not being able to make each decision in isolation of other events?

Even if we take your accusations against FF as true for a second, that doesn't excuse the ridiculous decision making that goes against him with alarming regularity.

You might want to check below for what was deemed a second yellow lol

Some officials are beyond a joke - and you can add this referee to that list.

Forestieri is our best player by a mile.....not the player he was 2 years ago (yet) but still our best player

But none of those videos show the full event,,,,,he went in to the crowd to celebrate...,its a stone wall yellow......would I want him ever to change....No.....was it a second yell...every time

refs don’t make the rules, just there to enforce them

Words fail me looking at that short clip of Forestieri getting sent off.

I'd assumed he'd been somewhat childishly silly, in the infant way he acts sometimes - but he did sod all wrong.

Agree

Wasn't there so I’ll take your word the second yellow was deserved.

But if the referee is “enforcing” the rules, why did Rotherham end the game with 11 men (looking at the footage of some of the tackles on FF)?

Its ridiculously harsh and you have to ask if it had been another player would it have happened....Seeing the scenes after the goal...ALL the players were going mental...It smacks a little of victimisation...Unless theres footage showing him goading Toytown fans or summat...

I mean why didn't they book the Rovrum defenders for "Looking despondent"..fairs fair..its all extremes

Their defender sat down with his head in his hands looked particularly disappointed. Straight yellow for him in my eyes.

Did the Rotherham player get booked for kicking the corner flag out of the ground when he scored?

total inconsistency

There nothing in the rules that’s black and white about a booking for that

I wouldn't normally criticise refs but the appointment of this one is baffling.

Darren England, Barnsley supporter. Best friends with a United fan. He used to (he could have changed) regularly mock Sheffield Wednesday (calls us the pigs etc).

So to come on here and see so many complaints about the ref is of no surprise whatsoever, I could have predicted it pre kick off.

He’s got sent off. Got a previous yellow.

He has constant form in this respect.

Take off the blue and white glasses. He is no use to us sat in the stands.

Unfortunately, whatever his talent, it is a constant problem.

The guy is a pro - needs to improve this part of his game.

He has done next to nothing for 2 years for one reason or another including long periods suspended.

Happened twice before hasn't it, 3 years ago?

Where one was a definite foul on him.

I would have thought it was obvious.

Players like FF roll around whether they have really been clattered or not.

It definitely affects the way referees deal with him.

Diving and making most of situations is sadly part of his game.

Unless it’s ok for our players to do it but we moan like hell when others do it ?

Do you think he would have booked Forestieri for it? I do

Do you think Forestieri would have got a straight red for the tackle on Hutch? I do

Do you think their player would’ve got a red for a professional foul if it wasn’t Forestieri that was fouled? I do

Every marginal decision goes against him.  The refs treat him differently to other players.
