Buxtongent
Surprises me that the pitch I see most Saturdays looks relatively lush and green, yet replays on tV later show a threadbare pitch.. It's stupid showing pictures of the area behind the corner flag, where this is a small, much used area, which is obviously going to show signs of wear. It's the same with the touchlines on the SE & NW sides. I don't think anyone who has watched football for yearswould argue that the pitch is in excellent condition given the time of year and the winter past. I notice that changes have been made to the great Wembley Stadium after its first couple of years , when it started cuttingvup dreadfully. The only query I have - has a correlation been made between injuries on pre- and post-Desso.
prowl
It's all Nuhiu's fault that the pitch is ruined. (He get's blamed for everything else) 1

tarn owl
The pitch is absolutely beautiful. i have no idea how you can complain about it. Thread over. I know it's boring being mid-table and under an embargo so not much to talk about but this thread is threadbare to me.........see what i did there.........Nevermind.

Perhaps I have grassed him up as he tries to plant a seed of doubt in people's minds.

I was at Hillsborough on Jan 12 but missed the match against Wigan on Jan 19. On Jan 12 the pitch was in pretty good condition but by last Saturday against Reading it was dreadful and threadbare. So just one home match, heat lights on every night, underfloor heating when frost is due and favourable weather - what has happened? looking at other grounds in the Premier League and Championship on TV, every other ground with Desso looks fine. Just look at Bramall Lane and the New York stadium where Dave Galley is doing a brilliant job. I know it’s the same for both teams but if we are to pressure our visitors, they need to feel they are playing a well sorted club with everything in top condition. Other than re-seeding probably too late last summer, does anyone know what has gone wrong? I have been on a ground tour this morning. The pitch is in great condition. The guy that gave the tour mentioned that we have been consulting with and learning from Arsenal since we installed the Desso pitch and the pitch is exactly the same as Arsenal’s was at the same age. The club are happy with it. Edited February 23, 2019 by shandypants 4

Aingarth
It has undoubtedly improved a lot in the last 2 weeks with the warm weather and they have also used the night time heat lamps by the north stand rather than just focusing on the other side. So the surface is improving. This photo is the half way line in front of the north at 2.30pm to-day.
