Simple.

Iconic.

Tells anyone of any culture or language what it is without needing words.

All the great emblems are.

Is it just me?

I always have to look twice to see the "bat" on the Batman logo.

At first glance I just see an open mouth with yellow teeth!

I'm not a designer, but I don't think it needs much to get it "cleaned up". Below is a creative direction I might propose to an actual designer. Not sure I like this myself, but I do think it's cleaner while retaining the original design.

It's not in the middle - sending me bozzeyed everytime I look.

I know, thats the difference between me having a quick blast on photoshop for owlstalk and some marketing company getting 150k to position it in the middle, have a champagne and amuse bouche reception with a presentation to justify their invoice and explain why such a simple iconic image is perfect for modern social media and global marketing.

I followed it down from top to bottom like it was your design thought process..... it made perfect sense to me.

This is purely hypothetical; I know that SWFC won’t be changing the club badge anytime soon, and I would personally prefer we went back to the simple classic Owl we ditched a few years back.

But I was thinking, if in the future we were to use something different what might it look like. Say SWFC ran a competition to design a new club badge/logo what would you want it to look like?

The current logo (although historical) is in no way imposing. It doesn’t strike fear into the hearts of our opponents. So with this in mind I’ve designed something that is a little more menacing! What are your thoughts? How would you feel about seeing this lit up on the back of the Kop?

Does anyone else fancy having a go at designing a new SWFC logo?
