Toon Owl 283 Posted Wednesday at 16:20 Just read that Millwalls manager totally understood the referees decision not to let us play in our Yellow kit. Apparentley if two teams kits are completely opposite colours, it could cause a player to catch something out of the corner of their eye and misplace a pass. I never considered that ............. Hookowl 3,203 Posted Wednesday at 16:48 Obvious isn't it. The kits were magnetic.

BowOwl 283 Posted Wednesday at 17:13 Any team who wears blue shouldn't have black as an away. Just doesn't work against so many teams, as nice as it looks.

The 150th kit arrived late and left early but we keep the over ripe banana / ikea kit as a third choice . Totally baffling !!! Which idiot makes these decisions 1

Wasn't last night's game the only the second time we've really had an issue?
Norwegianowls 6 Posted Wednesday at 17:51 On Ifollow the commentators said the referee had rejected our second kit because he claimed it was hard to see if it's a handball with it. Thats one special ref.

If that's the basis of his decision that prompts questions about whether the ref has good enough eye sight to officiate a professional game.
Hookowl 3,203 Posted Wednesday at 17:58 (edited) According to sky sports it was the yellow kit and a clash of colours? Steve Bruce bemused by late kit change before Sheffield Wednesday's goalless draw Sheffield Wednesday were asked to change to home strip as their yellow third kit was deemed a clash of colours Edited Wednesday at 17:59 by Hookowl

Thats one special ref. That's because the ball is also yellow, making it more difficult to see color contrast between the ball and the shirt. For example, if the player makes contact with the ball using their upper body, it might be difficult to tell if it hit their upper arm or chest.

I thought I read something last night that it was because of the black sleeves on the yellow kit and the ref couldn't differentiate between those sleeves and Millwall's navy sleeves. 1

Thats one special ref. Should play with a traditional white ball then instead of an over sized tennis ball. 1
