They would come up against teams playing three in there and just get over run. Our two are even even more likely to get over run as we just don’t have the physicality and athleticism to do it. The way we set up at the moment seems to result in Bannan from being as far away from the area of the pitch where we need him. That's why we've had managers and countless on here making Frankenstein teams and formations. The deficiencies have been glaringly obvious for a long time FFS. Bannan at centre mid?... I know SB has said he fancies him there but he hasn't got the muscle men around him to hold the pivot. This is the reason nobody can agree on here... we've spent on a bunch of liquorice all-sorts. He's an attacking midfielder being asked to play in a deeper role than suits him. It might also help if we actually had a few decent players in front of him or down the sides for him to aim at.
