latemodelchild
Lucas Joao. Jury still out but can see him featuring in this thread in 5 years time I'm afraid. Hopefully my lack of football knowledge will be exposed once more.

Yes Siggi had that special talent of finding time on the ball.Think his slight frame maybe left him open to rougher treatment from lesser talented players. We did though get a fee from Arsenal for him and sadly he was badly injured there.

Has the ability as international caps show. Sometimes wonder how badly he wants it.
keepitsteel89
Ozzy would be mine, I see him on the ball before the game from time to time and he looks decent. Never even makes the squad though... what's the point him even being here. Stealing a wage

Turned out to be one of the biggest flops in Wednesday's history.
Lord Snooty
I have zero doubt either that Ian Knight would have been a top end performer and regular International until the twať Bennett ruined his career. Destined for the very top of the game.
gurujuan
Not so much with us, although he flattered to deceive when he was here, but Simon Stainrod He had a good skill set, but seemed to cruise through games, never getting out of second gear
WalthamOwl
Nuhiu :-) didn’t he score on his debut against QPR? Not seen anywhere near enough of that since.

I've not done pre-match shots of absinthe since. Currently playing for non league Chester I believe after being released by Grimsby.

If you'd told me that as I descended into my absinthe portal, I'd have thought you were mad. For one green-tinged Hillsborough afternoon, he was the second coming of Zidane.

Didn't we buy him from Leyton Orient for about 250k and sell him to Forest for about £3m fixed by tribunal. Hardly a flop. I remember his hattrick in a 5-2 v Southampton. Week later, he was left out of the league cup final side which lost 2-1 to Arsenal. History might have been rewritten if Trev had picked him. History might have been rewritten if Trev had picked him. He'd played against Southampton as a striker precisely because we were resting players for the final, where we played pretty much our strongest side. Even Hirst only made the bench. Who would you have left out? Warhurst? Sheridan? Waddle?
Tamworthowl
Jon Shaw. Not sure I ever thought he'd be a world beater, but certainly good enough to be a regular for us. I remember a cracking goal from the edge of the area, kop end. Then he disappeared.
