Steve Bruce and Neil Swarbrick

Recommended Posts

I presume Swarbrick is a Villa fan, not a Steve Bruce fan.

Was it 24-1 to the away side on fouls?

Don't think I've seen that before in 61 years of attending matches.   Imagine if that had happened at Liverpool or Man U.  Would have been struck off the list.

The only time in 40-odd years of watching football that I genuinely thought a ref had been bribed.

It remains THE most incompetent/corrupt/disgusting display of refereeing cheating I have ever seen at a football match at any level.

Say what you really mean steelman. Don't hold anything back.WTF:

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I just wondered if Bruce has brought Swarbrick with him as part of "his team" lol

Just for a laugh ...can everyone out a caption to this picture. I can't wait.

NS........."How did I do Stevie...   Sorry had to give them 1 free kick or people would think I was being bribed"

SB.....no problem Neil......i will be their manager soon and I will sort it out. Just hide behind the VAR WHEN you retire and nobody will ever have to see us hugging again"

Luv u

Never, been watching/playing football for over 40 years and this was the most inept/biased refereeing performances I have ever witnessed. Infact John Terry was that good I thought he was auditioning for 'celebrity refereeing on ice' or summat. This was the Snodgrass game wasn't it? I was more than incensed.

Don't forget that tool at Hull, who sent FF off for diving, as Dawson was apologising for a tackle for which he could have been sent off...

Wonder if his pension pot grew significantly in his last season....

Surprised he didn't join on deadline day to be honest. Was the ONLY reason Villa took three points from Hillsborough last season.

It was a disgraceful refereeing performance but hardly the only reason

The main reason was Snodgrass when not chucking himself to the floor tore us a new arsehole

Ah, the first ever professional football match where a team was judged to have only committed 1 foul all game. What an awful day.

I work right next to Villa Park. Had to put up with all sorts of banter the week afterwards. All I thought is that both the ref and bloody Snodgrass were cheats. I normally take the rough with the smooth with that kind of thing, but I was so angry that day. I'm getting a bit vexed again now thinking about it :(

On a happier note we did see Sean "Flair" Clare's best performance for us :)

Stats that day certainly looked an anomaly
