There are some good players available for cheap nowadays especially abroad. 

Us saying we want 14m for Forestieri. 8m for Joao. Probably 5m for Winnall. 

Teams are just going to laugh.

 And before anybody says. Yes Madine went for 6m. But I dont think teams are going to be that stupid with money anymore. Especially teams that are going to want our strikers. 

 

Teams will be stifled by FFP. But if Huddersfield want Joao I think that’s what they will need to pay.

When average backup PL  players are going for upwards of £20m I can see why Rhodes is a sensible option for Norwich

Im absolutely fine with that. I’m amazed we have so many strikers & not one of them is good enough to score regularly in the championship. Over the next 2-3 transfer windows we need to replace the whole lot.

Yep.

 

And by that reasoning, there's no reason why we can't hold out to recoup most of what we paid for him

 

Norwich would struggle to find a striker with Rhodes scoring record (and add in the factor that he already knows the system, the club, the dressing room) for less than £4-5m.

 

If Wednesday hold their nerve, given with Norwich paid in loan fees and bonuses last year, we could well get very close to recouping what we paid for him.

I imagine one or two deals are verbally done but the players are on holiday so we will sign them officially when they return.

Here's hoping it's one year with an option to extend if he plays in x amount of league games (preferably a reasonably high number like 35). I think that would have to be considered fair for both parties wouldn't it?
