Hopefully the owner has learned a valuable lesson about wasting money and leaving idiots In charge of recruitment . It’s so annoying to think the money we have spent on utter crap

Oh! the irony from someone with the user name James O'Connor.

There's a lot of goodwill with supporters buying season tickets etc. The whole manager / squad situation (one proven CB and lack of midfielders if Lee is not validated)  really needs addressing as we are woefully under prepared for the new season with it and deadline day just around the corner.

Thing is the ginger warrior cost nowt and would have been on sensible wages ...he was a considerably better signing than abdi , van aken , Jones and a few others . Just highlights how shocking the Carlos era was for signings

Head in the sands for a lot of people though. Unfortunately can’t do much with an embargo over our heads. Need to get some players out as soon as possible.

Reading are interested in making a loan move for out of favour Wolves striker Leo Bonatini.

The Brazilian fell out of favour with Wolves under Nuno Espirito Santo despite having an amazing first season for the side from the West Midlands.

In his first season in the Championship, he was one of the key reasons why they got promoted.

In 42 appearances in the 2017-28 Championship season for Wolves, the 25-year-old scored 12 goals and gained five assists.

Really rate him. He's got that street baller type of playing style.

Still so frustrating that for whatever reason we can’t shift players out

completely take on board we probably can’t replace the likes of FF and Joao with similar quality for the kind of money we would realistically get for them, but one way or another the size and balance of this squad has got to be addressed before we get anywhere close to been actual promotion contenders

Quick question. Do you think anyone has actually put a cash bid in for any of our players yet? I have seen rumours about Joao, but sounds like just that Rumours.

I think our recruitment has been that bad, while brentford are selling players for 15 million then spending again. We are left behind by signing ageing slow footballers who can do a job at this level, but have limitations to be sold onto to the PL or even top end of the championship. Our recruitment needs an overhaul before we can expect big bids to come in. Even if you went out and actively searched for good bids for Bannan, Reach and Joao. Not sure anyone would be willing to put top whack bids in.

Suspect we’ve had a bid off Bristol for Joao,  personally don’t think people will pay what the club and most of the fans believe he’s worth , made a bit of a tongue in cheek comment last week and said I’d bin him and FF off for 3-4m a piece obviously not sure there value is that low but I’d be interested to hear what people would be prepared to pay

Football moves on quickly. Forestieri has been injured and in and out of the side for 2 years now. 3m would be considered a good price. He’s coming up for 30.

A club like Brentford would’ve had Forestieri down road for 12mill after the coach incident , while our lot were crying for Chansiri to triple his wage and forgive him

In hindsight yes, but he was absolutely unplayable back then.

Mhmm, fair point

but we could have potentially replaced him then, or be in a lot better position to than what we would he now if we sell him

They would also be getting £15m for Joao, had they been selling him

Totally agree with this. When Fessi refused to go to Norwich, we should have accepted the Derby bid and moved on.

Transfer policy has been awful.

When the likes of Westwood, Lees, Bannan, Forestieri, Lee and Hooper were in their prime the fees we could have taken are massive. Gives a bit of security incase you need a couple more goes as it has proved with us.
