Sonny
There will be nowt much happening transfer wise because Bruce is pre-occupied watching Newcastle videos. It’s ok though - barmy army etc.

He would certainly need to play in a big side, and alongside somebody who was dominant in the air. Having said that, I don’t believe we were ever in for him

We're entering the crucial final few weeks of pre-season, where the transfer activity is likely to kick into top gear, and we're going to be paralysed by our managerial situation. It's a paralysis we can ill afford, given the state of our squad.

I know what you mean but I feel the current squad of players probably know deep down it’s now or never for a concerted promotion push because the likelihood is a lot of them will probably leave the club next summer? Keeping free of injuries is key for me. We do that we’ll be fine because it’s injuries that have cost us the last two seasons more than anything else IMO. We have some very good players, but the squad is still a mish-mash of styles and approaches which needs a clear vision in order to sort it out, and not knowing who our manager's going to be when the season starts in three weeks isn't going to help. WalthamOwl
If we are going to be anywhere near the top 6 this season which let’s be honest is going to be a hell of an ask with the current mess we are going through we imo still need to bring in 2 or 3 players to give ourselves a chance of this happening. Guess we are going to have to wait until our new manager comes in, let’s hope this is sooner rather than later.

A Hector, a midfielder and maybe another winger/forward type player. But I reckon even with a manager settled and in charge we'd be waiting until the end of the window for these sorts of signings. Hector / Börner, winger / Harris could fit the bill. We also have Rhodes who looked good yesterday, odibaja and hopefully a fully fit keiren Lee to add to last seasons squad. Get the manager sorted and we won’t be far off.

With all due respect its hard to say in a friendly against a lower league side that were packed with a few trialists. The championship week in week out you need to perform beyond yourself to do well and even then you might come up short. I hope they'll all be succesful with us. Possibly only Hector if it can be sorted but we don't need a scout or Bruce for him as we know enough about him already.

Also need some out, but firstly we need a manager.

Guest wilyfox
Midfield still needs beefing up a bit, and we need a winger with pace to run in behind.
Bouncing Owl
We need 3 minimum; Hector Winger Powerful box to box central midfielder Left back would be a possibility but this would be reliant getting Fox out of the door. I think we could also do with a mobile striker but that would be on the basis that we can get Rhodes and Winnall out of the door as a minimum. Defensive midfielder, again reliant that Jos comes back in for Pelupessy. If we only bring in 3 that’s fine. Don’t want to see us bring in a load and we can’t sell any and then we are back at the same stage last season.

Great players but staying fit is a huge risk, when that just leaves Joey as back up. Likewise, wide players, we've Reach and Harris, need some cover.
