marcx666
Plus, it's not like like the Championship sides are miles ahead of us, with full squads and 6/7 signings. There has barely been any business done by anyone.

There's not a Wednesday fan on the planet who actually hopes this. It's a ridiculous comment aimed stopping logical discussion about the possibilities and uncertainties surrounding the club. Apart from the guy with the WAWAW rights that’s holding the club to ransom over the new kit release...maybe

The midfielder, who will be out of action until summer 2020 due to immediate preventative surgery, is highly rated and a welcome addition to the squad. Not even signed for us and the cold hand of death that is the Hillsborough injury curse has got him.

You can;t say if we don't sign anyone AGAIN, when we did sign players last summer. You know what I meant. So you’ll be happy if no one comes through the door this summer? You think we have enough to challenge? Wish I could share your optimism.

Not that I agree the summer was anything but a shambles. Despite scraping wins against Reading, Millwall and someone else, the signs were there. The squad was hopelessly unbalanced, we lacked legs and steel in the middle of the park. We have the exact same problem with the squad as it stands, albeit we have a better manager. But Bruce isn’t a miracle worker, we aren’t challenging with the current crop of players. If people think we can they are deluded.

Agree but let’s wait until the end of the transfer window before hitting the button though eh?

Nobody is saying we will challenge with the current crop, and we’re not going to have the current crop of players anyway. It’s pretty obvious we will be signing some (and likely already have). Feel free to spend your time fretting about it but it will have been a total waste of energy. Edited June 27, 2019 by Sonny

What else would we pay top whack for other than to stockpile players and not tell the fans anything. We aren't owed any news. The fact this and last year wasn't announced means it wasn't a bad embargo. If it was a full ban, that would be bad and it would be announced. If we can’t sign anyone again this summer it would be nothing short of disastrous. We signed Hector and Onomah. If it was bad situation, we'd have been banned for the whole transfer window (maybe 2). All will be fine, and all will be sorted. 4 players already agreed deals, 3 players staying on looking stronger already.
