Lazaar looks a top class player in this division and just what we need but isn't he injury prone?

To be fair, we just don't know how consistently good he is. He was excellent in that first home game he played but got injured for about 6 weeks early in the next one, and was OK against Bristol at Easter which turned out to be his last game for us. Us Wednesdayites should know better than to judge a player on one good game, remember Rodri?!

                                                                                 Westwood/Wildsmith

Odubajo/Palmer/Iorfa                                         Bonner/Hector                    Lees/Thorniley                                      Bidwell/Lazaar/Fox

Defensively we are potentially looking pretty good. Really feel we need a strong character at the side of Lees though, hopefully Bonner hits the ground running.

Heard today - Lazaar deal all but done.

He was on 500k a year at Newcastle which works out at about 9k a week.

Surprised how little he is on.

I don't know how he's keeping his head above water.... Hope he's not got kids, the poor little buggers.

Would Willis be a cheaper alternative to Hector or are we hoping to get both? Our backline could potentially be formidable for this level, just need a bit more pace and goals to really give it a go. What a stark difference having a manager that knows this level inside out, compared with his predecessors.

Odubajo and Palmer for right hand side and Lazaar and Bidwell for the left hand side, that looks pretty good to me. Iorfa could possibly move to his favoured position at CB.

Most of those aren't our players, how can it look good or bad for that matter.

Can’t see us signing Bidwell and Lazaar. If we do we will have to start thinking of a collective noun for fullbacks!

Lazaar looked a good player.

If we do sign him then Bruce must be happy that his injury here, hamstring?, was to do with pushing him when he hadn’t had any football before he came rather than him being injury prone

Eh?

As in, our chairman said the focus of the club was now to sign young players, with a good resale value. So far we must have been linked with 20 odd players, all but one the wrong side of 25. Hopefully these are just baseless rumours

Well I think Willis would be free and on league 1 wages. But Hector theoretically is far superior as shown in his career. However that many players come through from the lower leagues and end up being great at this level. Its just we rarely get any of them!

Plus Hector was 6-4, or 6-5, whereas Willis is 5-11. Could be an issue alongside Lees

If so, that’s yet another position filled, so what of the Bidwell deal that was supposed to be signed and sealed. That would give us 4 left backs, to go with our 4 right backs, and yet another player the wrong side of 25

You’re absolutely bonkers you are  We haven’t signed these players yet. What do you mean ‘yet another’ when nothing has happened.

I have a friend who is a big Norwich fan nad he told me situation. He did not know exact amount but he said they were certain to be relegated but would be well placed to bounce back having acquired funds from Premiership and hoping current players stay loyal as having given them a fair crack of whip in Premiership. It si similar to Burnly and WBA who had yo yo approach until managed to get strong enough team to stay in PL. Think Blunts may adopt similar strategy.

It's so understandable that the iwners not the players are that bothered if they get relegated back out of the prem. The earn is it about (guesstimating) 170 million for getting up and then the best part of 100 million when the come down as a thank you for being shat! You'd be laughing you tatties of as an owner wouldn't you?
