S36 OWL
Was on show again today . We are so slow all over the pitch . Watching Wimbledon last night playing with two fast wingers , breaking at pace , getting in behind a premier league teams defence with ease. So many times tonight the ball was played up to Fletch , who did well and held it up , but by the time any of our players caught up with play , Chelsea had everyone back behind the ball . Sadly , im not holding out much hope we will address this problem in this transfer window.

Guest wilyfox
Equally worried about our inability to keep the ball after that.

marcx666
You mean our complete lack of tactics other than "stick everyone behind the ball and hope for a replay, and in the replay we will stick everyone behind the ball and hope for penalties"? Freshfish
Would have liked to see Reach out left and FF up front with Fletcher and Matias on the right ... oh wait that’s players being played where they should be ...seems only Bullen does that. s6 owl
Not only are we physically slow but we also move the ball at a snails pace it doesn't matter whether we are playing Chelsea or Burton the majority of the time we need 4 or 5 touches before we are able to pick a pass. Very true this...the Chelsea players ability to move the ball quickly...even from foot to foot of the same player was drawing fouls from our slow players eg the penalty incident. We are so slow it’s untrue...they all need to sharpen up in the knife drawer before we meetBilly Blunt and his mates.

modboy
Should have started with Joao. Fletcher is wasted on nights like tonight
WalthamOwl
We where very poor tonight imo. Pace has been an issue for years. However all that matters for me is how we do against Ipswich. Realistically we where never going to get anything from tonight’s game. However the performance was a let down.
sternlad
Gulf in class was there to see tonight. Chelsea training must be entirely one touch football...we probably haven’t graduated to two touch yet. That goal of Willian’s was a prime example...to casually stroke that into the corner off the top of the bounce, can you see Boyd, Fox, or Reach doing that ? Row Z at the very least! Jim
Bruce sides usually have pace, so hopefully it won't be long before we'll see some but this current side/squad is so one paced it's unbelievable.
