I don't have any feeling either way about Bruce going to the cricket and starting on 1st February. But you can tell if things turn sour in a few months at Wednesday it will be brought up 'F*** Off back to the cricket Bruce!'

A few months? Some are saying that already, probably not Wednesday fans though

You’ve used one comment, out of context, to launch an attack.

Well done Cheap Shot Charlie.

England have been crap in this test match.

Absolutely, but that doesn't mean English cricket has gone down the 'shytehole' as you put it.

We've played poorly in the past, even got whitewashed in series' but we don't stay that way for too long.

As for being a regular negger of yours? I think you have the wrong person as i usually like your posts so keep off the weed Mr Marley.

Apologies btw, your cricketing knowledge is better than i assumed.

You’ll always find me capable of apologising after having a good rant. Apologies about letting off steam but having taken time out to follow yesterday’s play, I wasn’t best pleased with what I saw. England were pathetic, offering no threat or idea whatsever under Root’s captaincy.

Anderson, our best bowler, off colour, and seemingly incapable of putting in an extended stint when that was required. Stokes, getting frustrated and feeling sorry for himself. Curran, looking as threatening as a soggy tissue, Moeen not getting his head around needing to bowl differently to Holder who was striding down the pitch to meet the bounce of the ball, Rashid looking like a rabbit frightened under headlights. Root looking clueless. Bairstow being expected to throw himself about in the field. A West Indies batting track where only pace is going to cause any problems, and we are lacking, having left Broad out. Ridiculous!

Anyhow, I was totally focused on yesterday’s performance, not paying heed to previous performances. Poor standard cricket yesterday.

Anyway, apologies mate. Sorry I went off on one. Grumpy me is sorry.

You were right all along.

Jonathan Agnew said more or less the same.

I laugh when people boast about us being the 3rd best team in the world.. given the resources it's not that clever.

After that performance over the last 4 days, its more than likely that Bruce regrets going to the test match now and wishes he'd taken the reins at Hillsborough after all!

Jennings is OK once he gets a start. The problem is (Assuming 30+ is a start) at this level it would take him while lunch on the second day. Seriously we need to dig up a few like Richmond CC's Devon Malcolm and then seriously develop them. The problem with this is 60% our wickets have either gone fallow or have been sold off for development.

Anderson is excellent but he wont go on for ever and if we are to compete with the best we need three or four like him. A lot of hoo ha about Broad but he is so lazy, there was a time when he could bat a bit but he has been so relaxed about letting the skill go down the 5hitter.

Lets get the Batsmen batting and bring in Woakes (The fastest we have at the moment) and Broad at the expense of  Moeen and Curran. Basically bring in the professional specialists instead of packing the lower order with all rounders.

I thought Bruce came across well, but have to say I enjoyed Geoffrey exclaiming that all English openers and number 3s are crap in County Crucket. Why doesn’t he just say what he really thinks, lol.

Im not sure how the Ashes will go this summer, but we have to have a chance in the Workd Cup with our current one day team. Shame we can’t find a couple of decent openers and a tasty fast bowler for the test team.
