Who knows..

. One day we might turn out the next Jinky Johnston or Kenny Dalglish.

A young Souness wouldn't go amiss to be honest.

But Scottish football is not what it was back then Or more to the point, Championship football has moved on apace

There aren't to many Scottish lads who come south of the boarder and make a huge success of things. Undoubtedly there has been some that have and there has been some world class talent in days gone by (many moons ago) but in the last 20 years its difficult to say that the Scottish lads aren't a gamble. When you consider that best Scottish player is currently a LB it says it all really about the talent available.

That said he is only 17 and you just never know, time is very much on his side in terms of development and learning etc...

It is a well known fact that all Scottish players are crap. Apart from those who play for Sheffield Wednesday.

Furthermore, that the SPL is on a par with League 1. Celtic are the only SPL club who could possibly avoid relegation in the Premier League. Rangers aren’t really Rangers. They are a fairly new club in Scotland who the authorities were kind to. The real Rangers became extinct a few years ago.

ps - Don’t let Steveger see this. He’ll not get me a Lorne sausage when he next goes back “up the road”

Souness never actually played in the Scottish leagues - until he became Rangers player manager in his mid 30s.

We don' have a good track record recently with Scots signed from Scottish clubs!!!!

Our track record recently of signings is not good full stop. Going back a few years had some real good Scots in team.
