Quist
Unfortunately not fully fit yet, but if they want him we should let him go.

Crackers. its the MLS, not being competitive is part of the job description.
pazowl55
Would imagine it would be a pre contract agreement for the end of the season.

Sonny
Massive shame really. He’s quality and makes us tick in a way that no one else in the squad does. Fair chance we’d be in the prem already if he hadn’t got injured before Huddersfield, but that’s part of the problem. Unless he comes back soon and has a storming rest of the season, which is unlikely, then he’s going anyway so may as well go now. What a player though. SallyCinnamon
Be a good move for the club and our finances. Wouldn’t be a bad move for Hooper. They’ll probably match his wages and be willing to take a risk on his injury record. Just if he wants to move his family to America.

MLS season usually starts in early March so it'd make more sense for them to sign him up in this window rather than July if it looks like there's a chance he could be fit again soon (for a bit!). Shame to see him go as he's a great player but he's just never fit. Let him go now as he'd have been released in the summer anyway, save £700k+ on his wages between now and then and if we manage to get a small fee for him as well that's just a bonus. Then sit back and watch him become a turbo charged ever present for his new club...

According to Agnew today , he is quite a while away from playing again. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/injury-update-on-sheffield-wednesday-duo-kieran-lee-and-gary-hooper-1-9523846

But he probably said that this time last year as well. Can't we just let the Yanks have him and include a "sold as seen" receipt?

Bouncing Owl
Looks like his agent is at work. He won’t be going anywhere if he isn’t fit though. Like Kieran Lee, he is a top player but surely they will both be released at the end of the season. It’s a real shame that our 2 most intelligent players have been crocked.
