John O'Brien

U18s | Burnley 2 v 2 Owls

Recommended Posts

This was a blood and thunder game that had Burnley throwing in tackles all over the place. Burnley went 1nil up after 15 mins but the boys fought back and would not let their opponents intimidate them and gave as good as they got. Owls equalised on 30 mins after Hammoud was hauled to the ground in the box by their big clumsy number 6 and penalty awarded which Grant duly tucked away. 10 mins later saw Owls take the lead with some neat football in and around the Burnley box and Waldock made it 2. The last 5 mins of the second half saw saw Barnsley earn a penalty after a high boot in the area and they scored to make it 2-2.

The U16s lost 4 nil to a bruising Barnsley side.

Is the draw a decent result on the whole? Burnley are doing alright in the table as well aren't they?

Thanks again for the update John.

We appear to have dropped off a bit. How’s your lad getting on?

Yes they are up beside us but we let them off the hook today.

Missing Liam Shaw didn't help as well. Nice to see him get on the bench for first team today, though.
