There are plenty of reasons to be a sth other than ticket prices. You are guaranteed your seat, you get to sit with your mates, first priority for other tickets. etc Perhaps the club should think of other incentives for sth's, an obvious one to me is a discount on food and drink. The bottom line is that imo we need to forget about this obsession about keeping St's cheaper than payg. The normal payg prices have simply got to come down. If you have 10 empty seats....and 20 full ones that have already been paid for...If you sell those 10 empty seats...even for less than the full ones that have been paid for...You make more money than you would have done if you had left them empty. Add to that a 10-15 quid spend roughly, in the ground. All I can do is pay my way, turn up and cheer them on, which I have done for near 2 decades and will continue to do so regardless. And I agree, a half full stadium is frustrating considering where the numbers have been, even in recent years. asteener1867 Posted January 7, 2019 Share Posted January 7, 2019 Be interesting having a survey about what the actual Reason is for fans buying season tickets... I should imagine the majority go on price, but funnily enough that was not the initial reason I always got one for..although it does come into the equation these days. I did it initially for preference in away tickets, cup games etc, then when it went all seating on the Kop, it was getting tickets together with family and friends...
