I thought this was a wind up.

Ridiculous that a football incident should end up as a criminal prosecution.

What a waste of public money and

So if a player walks behind someone on the field of play and smashes someone in the back of the head and that player ends up with brain damage shouldn't be served with a criminal prosecution?

You mean a bit like when Chris Morgan fractured Ian Hume's skull?

Good to see The Stir has updated the story. Oh hang on a minute. They haven’t...... Quelle surprise.

Maybe it’ll be breaking news in a couple of weeks. There are no doubt a few items to run first about cataclysmic snowstorms cutting off large parts of Upper Bradfield and how we all need to batten down the hatches.

A retraction isn't going to sell papers though is it. Bet they couldn't believe their luck when the non story broke.

You mean when just about every professional footballer when asked at the time thought he should have got a lengthy ban? Anybody know about this sort of thing but could Forestieris legal team argue that the Star have prejudiced his case  should it go to crown court? I suspect not.

When Terry's racial case was proven not guilty despite it all been captured on camera and a lip reader called to give evidence the idea that FF's case will get to crown court is laughable...especially given the 11 cameras around Field Mill for the pre-season friendly lol

I agree it shouldn't get that far. Having had some experience of magistrate courts it can very much depend on who is sitting on the bench .
