Just shows what a defence having confidence in their ‘keeper can do.

Dawson needs a loan move to develop out of the spotlight. There is a good ‘keeper there; Westwood is simply better.

This will just be reminding everyone that there is a top championship keeper available for free in January. Dawson may well be back between the sticks sooner rather than later.

Nailed it....

Nothing against Dawson - he will be great keeper - just not ready yet.

We've conceded four shots on target in the last two games.

In Dawson's last two games, we conceded eight shots on target.

We've conceded 16 shots on goal in the last two games.

In Dawson's last two games, we conceded 27 shots on goal.

It's not just as straightforward as Westwood making the difference. Undoubtedly and empirically it helps, but anyone wanting to use this as an excuse to stick the boot into Dawson is just a wee bit sad and not looking at the bigger picture of a much tighter defensive shape.

That's a fair point, but what's not measurable is how much difference Westwood's organisation and communication with the defenders has reduced the shots. I'm a big believer in Dawson's future but he seems to be a poor communicator.

I would hope that the first signing Bruce makes is Westwood to a year’s contract extension.

Not many sticking the boot in on Dawson.

Plenty rightly sticking the boot in on a manager who turned a record-equaling Wednesday goalkeeper into 3rd choice in favour of a rookie who wasn't ready to play a full season behind an ever-changing inexperienced defence.

This may be the case, hope it isn't, can't be that many willing to pay a good fee for a goalkeeper mid-season when he will be available for free in 6 months so might be worth keeping him for the rest of the campaign even if he doesn't want or won't get a new deal.

Letting him rot and giving him his money for doing nothing for 12 months has been ridiculous.

Can't argue with that... part of the reason (if not the main reason) why Westwood between the sticks is empirically the better option it seems

Wonder where the fans are that were backing Jos over this? Still not heard from them since last week.

They were probably at today's game. Best result in ages and you post that divisive rubbish. Well done, you are a superior supporter.
