I recall hearing a whisper about a large bid for Paul Warhurst coming from Blackburn, I mentioned it to a member of the playing staff who lived nearby, he didn’t actually confirm it verbally, but his facial expression told everything. They talk when they are out together, their wives and girlfriends talk, their kids talk, their neighbours talk, I recall Waddle and Gaza having a pint in a Dore pub, the locals put two and two together and came up with two dozen.
