Official - Club up for sale

Recommended Posts

Turbulent time ahead but this will be for the best.

Chansiri came over as a man at the end of his time here before he actually came out and said it.

He came over as confused, unprepared for probing questions and without any forward plan.

I expect there will be no major decisions on anything much in the short term.

Just hope he doesn’t stripout the playing assets to recoup some of his losses.

Some of the playing assets have needed stripping out for some time

We need a billionaire Wednesdayite.

How many Arctic Monkeys albums do we need to buy?

More than I can afford otherwise club1867 would have had at least 6 buyers instead of the 5.

The ones that have no resale value are the ones I think you mean.

I think he's a decent bloke. Badly advised and a little naive in football matters but still a decent bloke.

After all we've put up with in the last 40 years we finally get a chairman willing to put money in and a desire to see us great again and we drive him out.

We will live to rue this.

I genuinely feel sorry for him.

And for us.

Some times worth letting some of the better ones go too.

Things can get stale

From what I've read I think a few things have got lost in translation.

Yeah he probably should have got a better translation of keep it under 39 million.

That I agree with. Wheeling and dealing in the transfer market has to be an essential part of a successful club.

Chansiri wheeled but didn’t deal.

If I had the money, I'd offer him what he paid for it.

Other than the pitch and a scoreboard, there's been no other improvement

Who the hell wants to pay 100 mill for us.....

He's living in dreamland

Running a sweetshop really turns over the cash, and here's me thinking it was a Mom and Pop operation light years away from a billionaire family with interests around the world. Try adding up the value of the players if there's a fire sale, and the sale of Hillsborough for redevelopment and then moving the club shell that is left to someone who wants to launder lots of cash from 'interesting sources'. And ha s a  desire to have the club renamed to whoever will pay the most. "Sweetshop Supers" "Persil Panthers" "ChupaChups Wonderpups" Stripes? probably end up in spots. He has made some changes, spent a fortune on us and given us two glorious years in a sea of mediocrity. Wouldn't like to give you a Christmas present, probably end up in the bin. People should be careful of what they wish for. These might just be "Our Best Days"

Would love a chairman like Gibson but there hasn't been anybody out there like that for the last 20years so why would they be now?

Think (our best days is pushing it a bit) get rid of Jos, install a proven manager and director of football, let them do their jobs and we may just turn this nightmare into better times.

He's never had any kind of plan.  Even saying he would put the club up for sale isn't a plan, just something he said.

The sooner he is gone the better, but don't hold your breath.

The crowd at the Wembley Playoff Final is a great advert to potential buyers of what can be achieved here. Someone happier to move players on and freshen up the squad might actually be able to work around FFP.

Are we actually worth anything? We are a failing business.

Anyone that buys us would have to take on the losses and still have to honour the contracts of Fletcher, Rhodes, Hutchinson, Lees, van Aken etc for the next couple of years.

There’s plenty of failing football clubs that have been sold for £1 or some other nominal amount.
