Official - Club up for sale

Guest Kameron

lots of supporters called this 3 years ago and were shot down in flames.  It’s was very clear from the off he needed promotion within two seasons and to be fair to him he almost pulled it off.  He came with a set amount of cash and it’s obvious he’s about run out.  The FFP is a slight red herring, yes it’s real but someone with serious amounts of cash could have done much more to ease the pain.  Basically he’s rocked up at a casino with a load of cash and lost the lot, no one to blame but him self.

It’s just astounding for me that we’ll hound out a bloke who’s got good intentions and spent millions of pounds at the club,  let’s just hope the grass is greener on the other side eh

He's spent millions on sh#t,  then tried to invoice the fans for it.

We're paying top end premier League prices to watch terrible, Sunday league football, the club is sliding backwards at an alarming rate with a rubbish but very expensive squad, an alienated, disconnected fan base and seemingly, is now in a worse financial state than when he arrived.

He's failed in almost every department, what's astounding is that some still defend him and think he is fit to run the club.

Not sure why you are giving Mandaric praise and saying he loved the club when it has only ever been about money for him. It always has been. He got it right at Leicester but it his legacy that has led Wednesday to this situation. He is responsible for both Wednesday and Portsmouth being sold to bad owners.

Chansiri would have looked a good suitor on paper. It's the make up of the man that is the problem. He has severe meglomaniac symptoms, he's pulled the wool over many people's eyes.

He’s out of his depth. Feel sorry for him.

But really its his own fault, all he needed to do was appoint trusted, experienced advisors and an established manager from the off then just provide the funds, he has certainly provided the funds but made a lot of unworthy players and associates wealthy, things could have been so different had he listened to good advice.

Best news of the night.

He’s so far out of his depth and utterly incompetent at running a football club.

He openly admits he has no plan from January. He has no idea he’s going to try and ‘figure out’ FFP in a week and a half lol

Yet some continue to defend him. Absolute madness.

People need to remember life before DC was a struggle. Fighting relegation year after year since getting relegation from the   PL. Like the last 10 games but it lasted 15 years. I’m grateful for that.

What in the name of god are you talking about, since Milan purchased the club we saw year up on year progress and the spine of the team was that which took us to Wembley.

Just goes to show you, you don't need to spend big you just need someone who knows what he is doing.

I can understand people feeling sympathy for him because his intentions were good, but really.....it is all of his own making.

He brought in advisors who, with just a cursory surf of the web , seemed best left alone and allowed them to make huge mistakes repeatedly.......surely after the second promotion bid failed he should have taken stock , looked at the projected figures and everything that was going wrong and reacted accordingly, but no,  on we ploughed losing money hand over fist.

i am as gutted as the next man that we are where we are (unless the next man is DC of course) but the sheer stubbornness and blind refusal to see the glaringly obvious has been his downfall...........how he can STILL trust the likes of Paxo to be in the same room , never mind "advising" is beyond me, and the "inspired" appointment of JL (wonder who suggested him) was the cherry on the very unedifying cakeball.

I hope he does see sense, seek out PROPER footballing people , and turns this around but alas i fear his race may be run and who know what the future holds.......scary times.

Let’s be honest with ourselves would we trust DC and actually selling our club it would probably sell it to the first bidder for the best price I will then turn it into a dog track or something

dont you think MM did the same  ?

Nice bloke actually but he's a businessman foremost - there's a book written by an agent -(link to this was removed in the now you see it now you don't boardroom) that discussed in detail his trip to some eastern block country to talk at one point at gunpoint to some alleged gangster types

then there was mammadov  land of fraud  fire  wow

and possibly others  before 'holding out for the right buyer'  which means 'has the required amount of cash'

The person/group  MM sold to was always a major concern.  I was  very pleased with DC good family man, but no sooner had MM left the building then it started

He no doubt bought us with good intentions that nearly paid off, I 've said this before he had genuinely absolutely no idea what he's bought into and where it is situated and IMO still doesn't really get it

The type of money probably required now is  2-3 times what he paid, hopefully someone with that level of cash to throw away on a club earnt it

Of course the next move by pig fans will go either:

1) Get DC to try and stay

2) Offload top players

Maybe a combination of both. It makes me wonder why owls fans don’t attack the blunts on similar grounds with their chairman’s spat with the prince. Wednesday fans have to be a lot more streetwise

Wow.

Just when I thought his naivety as a businessman could not be any lower, he publicly announces the club is up for sale.

I mean..............

All we are going to have is a load of 2 bob millionaire tyre kickers, looking to knock the price of the club down because it's in such bad shape.

Nobody, but nobody, will pay £40m+ for a team heading towards League One.

His emotions clearly have got the better of him.

Sunderland were sold for £40m just after being relegated to League 1. Ellis Short cleared the debts of the club before the takeover but the new owner took on £25m still to be paid on transfers.

They were being funded £10-£15m a year by their chairman until he pulled the plug.

With some of the high earners off the wage bill and no real player amortisation to speak of after this season, if we can stay in the Championship then financially we're probably at a reasonable base point for any new owner

Don't sell up Chansiri.

Just sack Jos, sack off Doyen, admit you need help and appoint the right people.

That's all you need to do. Just the be the benefactor not the main.

Too late for that now. All water under the bridge. Last nights ridicolous comments and stuborness showed him for what he is.

I’d say so yes, it’s quite clear he’s blown what he was prepared to put in so he had an amount he was prepared to spend.  He’s gambled and lost, the reason there is no long term plan is now clear, he’s wanted out for a while.
