My head says keep Matias and offer Hooper & Lee reduced contracts, if they sign they sign, if not let them go. Westwood is obviously not in favour so will unfortunately we will lose one of the best goalkeepers in the league for free. Not sure on Preston, but surely if he was good enough he would have been given more of an opportunity given our circumstances. OxonOwl Posted December 19, 2018 Share Posted December 19, 2018 Pudil, Westwood, Lee and Palmer have given a lot to the club in one way or another and it is sad to see them go but I think it makes sense to lose them. Some of the others are "if only" and "what could have been" but now they are "not going to be". I think Pudil might be the only one I would keep. Feel sorry for Kieron Lee as he was a terrific little player but you cant give out contacts for players who have missed 2 seasons through injury. Preston - extend (get him out on loan next year and see how he develops). Lee & Hooper - no extensions but offer of Pre Season with us to build up fitness with view to a deal if they can. I would definitely keep Matias, Palmer and Pudil because they play regularly and Preston because we need to test his potential. A club like us should always be looking to sell our best players when they reach their peak value with us. FF should have been sold ages ago and we should cash in on reach in January if we get an offer good enough. It’s the only way a championship club can be sustainable.
